Red Rocks Battle for Regional Volleyball Title on President’s Day

Several Alameda Red Rock women’s volleyball teams competed at the 28th Annual Northern California Volleyball Association California Kickoff Tournament on Jan. 15 to 17 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
The Red Rock Alameda 16s boys club volleyball team finished 12th out of 16 teams at the boys’ 15- to 16–year-old Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) Regional Championship tournament on Dec. 11 and 12 in Roseville.
Week two of the fall sports season saw some surprising outcomes for Alameda high school sports teams on the fields and courts.
The Wood Middle School volleyball players used teamwork to support breast cancer awareness. Throughout the month of October the girls donned pink hair bows while the boys sported pink socks and laces.
Men’s volleyball is another sport Alameda’s high school students are taking part in this spring.
The 2013-2014 fall sports' season has come to an end and it is time to look back at the great accomplishments of Alameda high school athletes.
Cross Country
The College of Alameda women's volleyball team's 2013 season came to an end in the first round of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) NorCal regional playoffs on Nov. 26.
