The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced today that it will close the Webster Tube for cleaning. 

The Webster Tube, entering Alameda, will be closed Monday, July 10, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning, and Tuesday, July 11, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced yesterday that it will close the Webster and Posey tubes Sept. 13 through 15 and Sept. 20 through 22, for maintenance and servicing of call boxes and stand pipe.

The Webster Tube, entering Alameda, will be closed:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 10 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 10 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, Sept. 15, from 10 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.

The Posey Tube, leaving Alameda, will be closed:

Sunday, April 17, through Saturday, May 21, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Caltrans contractors will close the Posey Tube to repair the pedestrian guardrail within the tube.

Detours will be in place. Motorists are advised to expect delays and encouraged to take alternate routes if necessary and also that traffic fines are doubled in construction zones.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced recently that it will close the Webster Tube on Wednesday, Feb. 24, for inspection and maintenance.

The Webster Tube, coming into Alameda, will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning

Cintas Fire Protection will be performing inspections, maintenance, and servicing all emergency fire extinguishers.
