Track Athletes Compete at Championship Meet
Members of the Alameda and Encinal High School track-and-field teams took part in the North Coast Section Meet of Champions on May 19 and 20 at Dublin High School.

• St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND): defeated College Prep of Oakland, 10-3 (May 9); defeated Athenian of Danville, 11-5 (May 10); defeated College Prep, 16-2 (May 11).
Members of the Alameda High School (AHS) and Encinal High School (EHS) track-and-field teams competed in the NCS Bayshore championships on May 13, at Hayward High School.

• St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND): defeated Redwood Christian of San Lorenzo, 6-1 (April 25), and lost to Redwood Christian, 18-7 (April 28) and 9-5, in nine innings (April 29).

Alameda native and professional track-and-field athlete Cooper Teare was the headliner at St. Joseph Notre Dame’s (SJND) 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony Saturday, April 30, at Kelly Gymnasium on SJND’s campus.
A quartet of Encinal High School (EHS) men’s track-and-field athletes won the men’s 4x400-meter relay race at the Marsh Creek Invitational at Freedom High in Oakley, Saturday, March 12.
