St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND) long-distance runner Cooper Teare won two major long distance races earlier this month. 

First Teare won the New Balance Indoor National one-mile men’s competition Saturday, March 12, in New York, N.Y., with a time of 4:06.60. 

Men’s Basketball
Defending North Coast Section (NCS) Div. V champions, the St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND) men’s basketball team, began its quest for a NCS Div. IV title with a 56-32 victory over Healdsburg Saturday, Feb. 25.

The St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND) women’s basketball team pushed its overall record to 12-4 on the season after a 54-49 over Capital Christian on Jan. 14.

The holiday season brings out the giving in everyone. Here in the Island City, there has been no shortage of generous giving happening within the community this year. 

St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND) women’s tennis sister duo Aysha and Azaria Hayes won the North Coast Section (NCS) Div. II women’s doubles championship in a three-set match last Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Women finish first, men second

The St. Joseph Notre Dame women’s tennis team lost to Head-Royce of Oakland 4-3 last Wednesday, Oct. 5, but the Pilots’ top three players continued their dominant play at the exhibition. 

Two Alameda high school baseball/softball teams won their respective league titles last week.
