Alameda High School (AHS) student-athlete Ramir Smith won the men’s 100-meter dash competition at the Granada Distance and Sprint Festival Saturday, April 14, at Granada High in Livermore.
On Saturday, Feb. 10, St. Joseph Notre Dame High School (SJND) will welcome approximately 180 sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students from 28 participating schools to compete in the Ninth Annual Diocese of Oakland Science Fair.
The high school basketball season is underway and all six Alameda teams are playing well on the hardwood.
The St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND) women’s cross country team finished seventh in the Div. V California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) cross country meet Saturday, Nov. 25, at Woodward Park in Fresno.
Last Friday, St. Joseph Notre Dame High School alumni and NBA standout, Jason Kidd, earned one of Cal’s high honors. The Golden Bears inducted Kidd into their Hall of Dame. His jersey, No. 5, has also been retired at UC Berkeley.
The St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND) baseball team won the North Coast Section (NCS) Div. IV championship with a 4-1 victory over St. Patrick-St. Vincent of Vallejo Saturday, June 3. The NCS final was played at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill.
Several Alameda high school athletes had great performances at the North Coast Section (NCS) Meet of Champions last weekend at UC Berkeley.
SJND bests Oakland’s Head Royce, Athenian of Danville
The St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND) baseball team earned two wins last week that pushed their record over .500.
St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND) long-distance runner Kiera Marshall finished fourth in the Dublin Distance Fiesta 3,200-meter competition Saturday, March 18.
