With the dust settled on the spring sports season, in which, the St. Joseph Notre Dame men’s team was crowned a state champion, the attention of the Alameda sports scene has now moved to the diamond.

There are many indicators that a school year is coming to a close: prom, graduation and the end of the spring sports season. Alameda high school athletes put together an impressive body of work on the diamond in the 2014 postseason.

The Alameda Girls’ Softball Association season continued to roll along with four contests over the weekend of April 12 and 13.
