• St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND) defeated Encinal High, 53-49 (Dec. 2); lost to Mt. Eden High of Hayward, 43-35 (Dec. 3).

The Alameda Soccer Club’s Islanders 2012 Girls Red team won the Stanford Summer Classic D1 U11 Gold division championship on Sunday, 14 in Palo Alto.
The East Bay United Bay Oaks 05 Gold (17U Girls) team made it to the quarterfinals of the 2022 U.S. Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships last week. The tournament was held from June 20 to 26 in Boise, Idaho.
The Alameda Soccer Club (ASC) boys’ 2008B team finished second at the Santa Cruz Breakers Academy Spring Cup Under-14 silver tournament on March 12 and 13. The tournament was played at the Twin Creek Sports Complex in Sunnyvale.
Both Alameda High School (AHS) and Encinal High School (EHS) women’s soccer teams qualified for the North Coast Section (NCS) playoffs.
The high school soccer season is currently on winter break with many Alameda high school teams looking to redeem themselves in the new year.
Encinal High School (EHS) men’s soccer lost, 4-0, to rival Alameda High School (AHS) on Dec. 10. on Willie Stargell Field.
The soccer season for Alameda high school teams ended last month with teams’ bids at a North Coast Section (NCS) titles unsuccessful.
With winter break over, Alameda athletes are also back to their respective sports teams. Though there has been rainy weather as of late it has not stopped Alameda soccer teams from competing on the pitch.
Two Alameda high school women’s teams received bids to the North Coast Section (NCS) soccer playoffs.
