Robbery Escalates into Year’s First Homicide

The City of Alameda recorded 2018’s first homicide after a 61-year-old woman died of injuries she sustained outside the Pho Anh Dao restaurant, 1919 Webster St. The Alameda County Coroner identified the victim as Cindy Le, 61, of Alameda.

Police Confront Sideshow at the Point

An illegal “sideshow” took place last Saturday on the west side of Alameda Point’s Seaplane Lagoon, which is fast becoming the site of frequent sideshow activity. Tugboats were maneuvering the Maritime Ready Reserve Ship Keystone State as drivers spun out nearby.

Suspect in ARCO shooting arrested in traffic stop

An Alameda native who is suspected of shooting two gas station employees was charged with four felony counts, including two for attempted murder, on Monday, April 25, according to authorities.
