The city of Alameda Community Development Department has restarted its initiative to revamp the city’s existing public art program.
A community meeting will be held Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the dining room at Mastick Senior Center; 1155 Santa Clara Ave. City staff will discuss recommendations for use of existing money in the city’s public art fund and a community feedback session on numerous topics pertaining to the program.
Alameda Citizens Task Force (ACT) will hold its quarterly meeting next Wednesday, April 30, at 7 p.m. in Conference Room A at Alameda Hospital, 2070 Clinton Ave.
The meeting will feature a panel presentation and audience discussion “Responsible School Board Governance.” In November voters will elect two members of the school board and possibly vote on a bond measure for the school district. The meeting will discuss issues surrounding these decisions.
