The Alameda Attack varsity high school lacrosse team won the Northern California Junior Youth Lacrosse Association playoffs last Saturday, May 9, in just its second year at the varsity high school level.

The Alameda Attack team is a unique partnership between the Alameda Attack lacrosse club and St. Joseph Notre Dame High School.  The partnership allows girls from Alameda’s high schools the opportunity to play lacrosse. Girls from 10 different high schools participate.

New local team to compete in Northern California Junior Lacrosse meet

The Alameda Attack high school women’s lacrosse team has qualified for the Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association (NCJLA) championship tournament in its inaugural season.

The Alameda Girls’ Softball Association season continued to roll along with four contests over the weekend of April 12 and 13.

Some big hits were made in the six-and-under match between the Harbor Bay Realty Thunderbolts and Angel Power. Harbor Bay’s Aurora Stonehouse started things off with a base hit, safe at first, then finished up the second inning with an outstanding turn at bat. The Thunderbolts’ Cheyenne Caina’s strong ground hit later in the game barreled way out to centerfield. The six-and-under game does not keep score.
