On Monday, June 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Food Shift will host an evening of inspiring stories and delicious vegetarian food to celebrate its culinary training program apprentices and graduates. Diners will be able to taste a vegetarian meal prepared by Food Shift kitchen apprentices at C’Era Una Volta, the Italian restaurant, at 1332 Park St. Ste. D.
Food Shift staff will also share program updates including metrics, new partners and information about Food Shift Catering.
If Food Shift founder and director Dana Frasz and Alameda Point Collaborative (APC) Executive Director Doug Biggs get their wish, the families who live at APC will have one more resource to help them overcome some of the challenges they face.
These challenges include the isolation at Alameda Point and the inconvenience of having no supermarket nearby. Frasz and Biggs hope to help provide APC residents a kitchen that will help provide a solution to this problem.
