Men’s Basketball
• St. Joseph Notre Dame (SJND) lost to Serra High of San Mateo, 70-37 (Dec. 26); lost to Central Catholic of Modesto, 70-48 (Dec. 27); defeated Heritage High of Brentwood, 57-47 (Dec. 29).

On December 9-10, the Encinal Drama Department put on its anticipated production of The Wolves, a play following a girls soccer team through a single season, and the various successes and hardships they experience along the way.
Football:
• Alameda High School (AHS) lost to Arroyo High of San Lorenzo, 35-14 (Oct. 14)
• Encinal High School (EHS) lost to Bishop O’Dowd of Oakland, 30-0 (Oct. 14)
Women’s Volleyball:
• AHS defeated Piedmont High, 3-1 (Sept. 26); lost to Bishop O’Dowd of Oakland, 3-0 (Sept. 28); lost to Head-Royce of Oakland, 2-0 (Oct. 1).
The Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) welcomed three new student board members to the AUSD Board of Education this summer.
Football:
• Alameda High (AHS) lost to Concord High 30-8 (Sept. 2)
• Encinal High (EHS) lost to Miramonte High of Orinda 41-14 (Sept. 2)
The East Bay United Bay Oaks 05 Gold (17U Girls) team made it to the quarterfinals of the 2022 U.S. Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships last week. The tournament was held from June 20 to 26 in Boise, Idaho.
Encinal High School (EHS) hosted their annual “Extravaganza of Bands” on Saturday, May 21. However, due to increasing COVID numbers, only Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) bands competed this year.
The Encinal High School (EHS) softball team lost the West Alameda County Conference (WACC) Shoreline League title game, 8-5, to Piedmont High School Thursday, May 12.
It looked like the Jets would finally overcome the rival Highlanders.
