The Easter Bunny brought smiles and delight to last Saturday’s Egg Scramble at Crown Beach. The cutest among the “scramblers” were the ankle biters in the “just learning to walk” category, like these children looking for any goodies that the Easter Bunny just might have left behind.
The Annual Alameda Library Peeps Diorama contest is back! For this annual contest, participants design and construct a diorama featuring Peeps marshmallows as the characters.
Two scenes from last year’s Easter Egg Hunt on Park Street appear at right. Alameda families can meet with the Easter Bunny at Daisy’s, 1347 Park St., (left) and find special Easter treats at merchants like Lauren’s Closet, 1420 Park St. (right).
The meaning of the Easter legend could be construed as the power of belief in the omnipresence and omnipotence of Spirit to overcome any human condition, including death.
