The Alameda Sun would like to congratulate everyone in Alameda’s Class of 2023. All graduation ceremonies are complete. The Encinal High School graduation held the last Alameda Unified School District graduation on Saturday, June 10. St. Joseph Notre Dame held its graduation on May 27.

For the second year in a row, Encinal Jr/Sr High School’s (EHS) yearbook, “Horizon” earned design recognition from Jostens, its yearbook publisher.

The Alameda Kiwanis Foundation has extended its scholarship application deadline to Monday, April 24. The previous deadline was April 9. The extension is to allow more graduating seniors from Alameda city high schools to apply for the Kiwanis Foundation scholarship.
