School Board Votes to End Bay Farm Middle School

At its Feb. 14 meeting, the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) Board of Education voted, 4-1, to phase out the middle school program at Bay Farm School (BFS).

Alameda Unified School District -- Edison and Bay Farm schools are two of the 10 school selected to be a part of the U.S. Education Green Strides Tour.

In honor of their contributions to “green programs” for the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD), the U.S. Department of Education is including both Bay Farm School and Edison Elementary School on this year’s Green Strides Tour.

Alameda Unified School District -- The new outdoor space was installed before the start of the school year.

When Bay Farm School students and staff arrived at school on Aug. 14, they discovered the campus had been transformed by the addition of a spacious, light-filled classroom building and outdoor learning spaces.
