Last week, classrooms were silent as schools across the island opened with distance learning. Although students weren’t physically on their respective campuses, they faced a variety of issues during the first two days of the school year.
Last Friday, the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) celebrated the memory of the late Niel Tam by naming the district office for him. The office at 2060 Challenger Drive now bears the name “Niel Tam Education Center.”
On Saturday, June 1, members of Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School’s Class of 2019 tossed their caps to the heavens to celebrate their graduation. Alameda Science & Technology Institute (ASTI) celebrated its graduation a day earlier.
