McDaniels family helps instruct collaborative’s kids
After my younger brother Ryan McDaniels passed away unexpectedly in August 2012, several friends, family members and the the local swim community donated money in his name to create the Ryan McDaniels Aquatic Fund.
The City of Alameda and Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) have partnered to provide free bus passes for up to 167 senior or disabled residents of Alameda Point Collaborative (APC) a low-income, supportive housing community at Alameda Point.
The Food Shift Kitchen (TFSK), based at Alameda Point Collaborative (APC), is a non-profit social enterprise that is reducing squandered produce, creating nutritious meals for the community and providing job training and employment to APC residents.
The Alameda Point Collaborative (APC) served up gourmet meals at its annual Urban Farm Table fundraising event on Sunday, May 15. About 100 guests were seated under a canopy squarely in the middle of crops growing on the Alameda Point farm.
A festive holiday fundraiser for the Alameda Point Collaborative (APC), a supportive housing community that uses all its resources to help families and individuals break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, has been set for Saturday, Dec. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m.
