The Alameda Blaze 10U softball team won the South Bay Easton Classic 10U tournament, which took place July 29 and 30 in Hayward.

Alameda Little League Coach Norm McBride was named the Future Oakland A’s Coach of the Month for the month of June.

Norm has been coaching little league baseball since 2015. His wife Tiffany wrote his nomination summary to the Oakland A’s. Tiffany’s summary stated:

The Alameda Blaze 10-and-under softball team finished second in the Fast Pitch Top Gun South Bay Tournament 10U division on June 24 and 25 in Pleasanton.

The Alameda Girls Softball Association (AGSA) extended its spring season registration. Registration for the 8-and-under, 10-and-under, 12-and-under, and 14-and-under divisions were extended to Jan. 13, while the 6-and-under league registration was moved to Jan. 20.

Two Alameda Girls Softball Association (AGSA) teams earned medals at the Diamond Classic Softball Tournaments on Sunday, Sept. 18.

The Alameda Girls Softball Association had a full slate of games the weekend of May 13 and 14.

Hyde Engineering Dream Crushers 6, The Dark Side 0: In the 8 & Under division of local softball teams, the Dream Crushers’ bats were on fire Saturday with Sophia Larsen, Alys Cochrane and Violet Schnitter all having standout performances. 

With spring around the corner and the sun back out, the girls of Alameda Girls Softball Association have started their 2017 season. 

The Alameda Girls Softball Association held several games last Saturday, April 23.

The Pagano’s Hardware Tigers took down the Piedmont Wildcats 5-1 in an eight-and-under division match-up.
