Does the Sun shine on the equator? “You bet,” says Alamedan Tita Mahoney, “and here’s the proof.” She and her husband John, long-time residents of Palmera Court, recently visited the Galapagos Islands on a sailing tour arranged by their daughter Jennifer (of Lincoln Avenue). The members of Tita and John’s group were kind enough to step aside so this Galapagos tortoise could come up and get its first-ever look at Alameda’s hometown paper.
