Sun Shines Everywhere 1916

Michelle Bacon and the Alameda Sun traveled to Highclere Castle near London, England, this summer to visit the fictional home of the Crawley family of Downton Abbey. The self-guided tour includes the library, Lady Grantham’s bedroom, the dining room and the grand saloon with stairwell. “As you stroll through the lavish gardens that surround the castle, you’ll find yourself looking for Isis, the Earl of Grantham’s loyal dog,” wrote Bacon. “This ancestral country home of Earl of Carnarvon will leave you wishing you were a part of the family that lives (in real life!) in this beautiful home!”
