Tita Mahoney’s picture first appeared in a newspaper article declaring her the Old-Year Baby in Toledo, Ohio (she was born at 11:47 p.m., Dec. 31, 1942). Eighty years later, she celebrated the anniversary with a New Year’s Eve trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mex. Here she is, adding some Alameda Sunshine to the sunny Mexican landscape at Bahia de Banderas. John, Tita’s husband of 58-plus years, took the photo. The couple are long-time residents of Palmera Court, with offspring throughout the Island City.
