Sun Shines Everywhere 16086

Alameda resident Andres Sanchez and his daughter Isabella made a pit stop on the way to visit Isabella’s grandmother in Colorado Springs at the Cave of the Winds on Saturday, Sept. 3. The father-daughter duo brought along the Sun to visit the cave located in the Pikes Peak region of Colorado. Some history books say the cave was discovered in 1881, but according to the Cave of the Winds website, the caves are millions of years old. As early legends of over a thousand years ago tell, the Jicarilla Apaches spoke of a cave near Manitou Springs where the Great Spirit of the Wind resided.
