Sun Shines Everywhere 159

John (left), Sakura (not pictured) and Timothy Lee visit their mom Myung Ja in Korea every other year and were so excited to bring the Alameda Sun along. Last year, they visited in April, right during the time that North Korea was threatening the U.S. and South Korea. The threats were all over the news, but the Koreans in Seoul didn’t seem to let if affect their everyday activities and life continued on as fast as ever. The family decided to play it safe, however, and decided not to visit the Demilitarized Zone.

"The Sun Shines Everywhere" attempts to show the Alameda Sun in every state of the Union and every country in the world. Submit a small descriptive paragraph along with your photo to the Alameda Sun, 3215-J Encinal Ave., Alameda, CA 94501. Submissions may also be e-mailed to editor@alamedasun.com. The Sun Shines Everywhere is published on a completely random basis.
