Bach Ha, a teacher and long time resident of Alameda recently traveled with his wife, Thao Le, and daughter, Evelyn, to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada for vacation. Ha describes Victoria as “a beautiful city filled with British architecture and friendly residents. Located on the scenic Vancouver island, it also happens to be the capital of the British Columbia province.” Here the family stands in front of the historic Empress Hotel overlooking the waterfront. “There are a lot things to do in Victoria such as strolling in the shopping district and visiting the amazing Butchard Garden,” wrote Ha, “but one of the coolest activities is the long ferry ride from Seattle which weaves through the serene and verdant San Juan Islands. It was a very memorable experience.”
