Sun Shines Everywhere 11040

On a tour of the South American desert and Inca Trail sites, Bruce Carlton veered off-course just a bit (2,295 miles off the Chilean coast) to experience the moai of Easter Island (Rapa Nui). Here, a group of them share their mana with him and the Alameda Sun at Anakena. Easter Island comprises the southeast corner of the Polynesian triangle, but was annexed to Chile in 1877.

"The Sun Shines Everywhere" attempts to show the Alameda Sun in every state of the Union and every country in the world. Submit a small descriptive paragraph along with your photo to the Alameda Sun, 3215-J Encinal Ave., Alameda, CA 94501. Submissions may also be e-mailed to editor@alamedasun.com. The Sun Shines Everywhere is published on a completely random basis.
