Over the February school break Vivien Loving brought the Alameda Sun to the limestone bluffs of Minnehaha Falls, an urban waterfall located in Minneapolis, Minn. The falls were frozen solid and snow-covered with the area having received more than 35 inches of snow just before Vivien’s arrival, a new record for the month of February in the Twin Cities. When flowing in spring and summer, the falls plunge 53 feet into a large gorge below before flowing to the Mississippi River.
