Sheryll was born in Mountain View, and grew up in the Bay Area. She graduated with an AA from F.I.D.M., SF in retail interior design/ merchandising. Sheryll moved onto a successful career as manager and sales clerk in cosmetics at Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Neiman- Marcus. Besides her love of fashion and cosmetic arts, she enjoyed dancing, vegetarian cuisine, classic films like Breakfast at Tiffany’s and loved French pop, new wave and ’80s rock music. She had begun to make a career in stage comedy.
In spite of the assault of many maladies she never lost hope and never gave up her desire to return to her former life. Sheryll was the only daughter of Myra Lander and Martin Israels and sister to Stephen. Granddaughter of the late Clara and Jack Lander and Sylvia and Albert Israels of Winnipeg. In addition to her grieving family she had many friends across the U.S. and Canada. She will be sorely missed by all. A celebration of her life is planned for a later date.
