Ada Ruth Matson
Ada Ruth matson passed away at the age of 88 on March 22, 2014. She was born in Texas and lived most of her life as a wife to Edward R. Matson, homemaker and mother of two in Alameda.
She is survived by her daughter Edwina Matson (Stanley Flindt), her son Robert Matson (Franca Matson-Marra), her grandchildren: Jeremey Matson Poss, Lindsay Poss, Matthew A. Flindt, Savanna Flindt, Mirella Quaranta, Antonio Quaranta and her great-grandchildren: Charlie Matson Poss, Andrea R. Flindt, Makayla Flindt, Marya Flindt, Gianni Quaranta, Melina Quaranta, Noah Dias-Quaranta, James D. Beaver and Natalia M. Beaver.
As a widow, she resided in San Leandro for nine years. She was active for many years with Deaf Counseling, Advocacy & Referral Agency (DCARA). She loved family, friends, games, animals and children.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at DCARA, 1550 San Leandro Blvd., San Leandro, across the street from the Davis Street BART Station, on Saturday, May 24, at 1:30 p.m.
