The following monthly events geared for Alameda youth have been on hiatus in August. All programs have since resumed.

Storytimes: Mama Goose for 18 mos. to 3 years old, Saturdays, Main Library, 10 a.m.; Peter Rabbit for youth 2 to 5 years old, Wednesdays, West End Library, 10:30 a.m. and Thursdays, Main Library, 10 and 11 a.m.; School age for Kindergarten to third grade, Wednesdays, Main Library, 3:30 p.m.; and family storytime for all ages takes place Tuesdays, Bay Farm branch, 7 p.m.

The First Friday Family Film takes place each first Friday of the month, in the Main Library at 7 p.m.
We Love LEGOs: takes place on the second Saturday of the month, at the Main Library, 2 to 4 p.m.; on third Thursdays, Bay Farm branch, 3:30 p.m. and on fourth Thursdays at the West End Library, 3:30 p.m.

Thursday Crafts: is set for the first Thursday of the month at the Bay Farm branch and the second Thursday of the month, at the West End Library, both at 3:30 p.m.
