Brandon Wong, who recently finished seventh grade at Bay Farm Elementary School in Alameda, played a piano recital for residents of Harbor Bay’s Water’s Edge Lodge on June 16. A student of Ralph Winkler, who teaches private piano and violin lessons in Alameda, Wong played Scarlatti’s “Sonata in A”, Beethoven’s “Fur Elise” and the Adagio from his “Moonlight” Sonata, “Solfeggeitto” by CPE Bach and “Impromptu in A Flat” by Franz Schubert.

Wong began taking piano lessons from Winkler when he started kindergarten at the age of five. When he is not playing piano, Wong enjoys soccer, magic tricks, solving puzzles and video games. In school his favorite subject is math, and he is a Boston Celtics fan.
