The Bay Area has gone basketball crazy with the return of the Golden State Warriors to the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals. Alamedans have a chance to watch the beloved Warriors battle for the Larry O’Brien trophy on a 30-by-50-foot screen thanks to Alameda Theatre & Cineplex. The cineplex will broadcast each NBA Finals game between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics live on an Alameda Theatre & Cineplex screen.
Game 4 of the NBA Finals will be on Friday, June 10, while Game 5 is on Monday, June 13. Both games will begin at 6 p.m. If the series is extended, the Alameda Theatre & Cineplex will broadcast Game 6 on Thursday, June 16 at 6 p.m. and Game 7 on Sunday, June 19 at 5 p.m.
Tickets are $4 for general admission and $5 for luxury seating. Expect a ticket fee charge of $1. To purchase a ticket, visit https://app.formovietickets.com.
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Warriors Community Foundation. A bag check will be conducted upon arrival. No outside food or beverages will be allowed. Facemasks will be required.
The historic Alameda Theatre & Cineplex is located at 2317 Central Avenue. It was built in 1932 and designed by architect Timothy L. Pflueger.
