Virtual Run Unites Community

Want to come together as a community, get outside, and stay active? Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School’s (SJND) annual Reindeer Run checks all the boxes, all while raising money for the Alameda Food Bank.

Between Thursday, Dec. 12 and Friday, Dec. 20 participants can run (or walk) 3.1 miles (5 kilometers) on the track or treadmill of their choosing! Proceeds will benefit the Alameda Food Bank during an unprecedented time of demand.

“As the weather cools down and the lockdown continues, it can be easy to be sedentary and isolated,” says Carlos Arriago, Athletics Director at SJND. “It’s more important now than ever to get connected and stay active; that’s why we are continuing our annual run in a digital format.”

Participants will receive a T-shirt, a medal that doubles as an ornament, and an SJND Reindeer Run sticker. Register at #RunSJND on social media to share and connect with others!
