Residents will be able to hear updates from city officials on the proposed Oakland-Alameda Estuary Bridge this month.

The proposed bridge was an agenda item for the Transportation Commission meeting on Nov. 15 and the upcoming City Council meeting on Nov. 21. You can watch the Transportation Commission meeting on the city’s website. These are information-only items.

The city has been working over the past year on scoping a new bicycle and pedestrian crossing over the estuary in the west end. On July 12, 2022, the City Council voted 4-1 to execute two contracts to complete a planning phase for the Alameda-Oakland Bicycle-Pedestrian Bridge.
