Maurice Ramirez

At a town hall meeting Monday night, Alameda residents took another step in attempting to create an even more compassionate and inclusive community and country. The event, held at Rhythmix Cultural Works, organized by representatives from Alameda for Black Lives, First Congregational United Church of Christ, Alameda All Faith Coalition, Islamic Center of Alameda, Alameda Comes Together and other community members, featured a presentation from the American Civil Liberties of Northern California and words from local officials.
