Temple Israel Brings Back Holiday Fest

Temple Israel Brings Back Holiday Fest

Temple Israel presents the return of its annual Holiday Fest shopping expo on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Alameda. The event is free to attend and open to everyone.

The Holiday Fest will feature over 25 local artists, authors and crafters selling a variety of gift-giving options. Purchasing gifts at this event, and not through a distant online company keeps money in the local economy. Items include apparel, artwork, confections, books by local authors, fused glass, gift cards, greeting cards, honey, jam, jewelry, soap, Judaica items, knitwear items and stuffies, plants, purses, and tote bags with more being confirmed.

“We are excited to bring back the Fest for the first time since 2019,” said Fundraising Chair, Jennifer Bregman Forshaw. “Everyone I’ve spoken to has really missed this event and can’t wait to shop local for the holidays seeking some ‘Retail Therapy.’”

Temple Israel Vice President, Kimberlee MacVicar, added “To me, this event is super fun and the best way to complete all of my holiday shopping in one location knowing I’m supporting the local artists. It’s a win-win and my tote bags are ready to fill.”

Temple Israel is located at 3183 Mecartney Road, in the Harbor Bay Isle section of Alameda. Free parking. The event includes a café run by Gather & Grub, and a bake sale.
