A Taste of West Alameda to Debut This Month
On Wednesday, March 28, the West Alameda Business Association (WABA) will present a brand-new event designed to showcase the West End’s delicious eatieries. The West End is abuzz about the upcoming “A Taste of West Alameda” where everyone can come over and enjoy endless samples of West Alameda’s variety of cuisines. Mix and mingle while tasting beer, wine and spirits from Alameda Point’s own Spirit’s Alley and beyond.
From 6 to 9 p.m. in the upper reception hall of Otaez Restaurant at 1619 Webster St., ticketholders will be delighted by a curated selection of what West Alameda has to offer. The evening will be the perfect opportunity to explore the West End’s culinary offerings, both new and old.
D.J. Tanoa “Samoa Boy” Stewart will keep the event lively by spinning his vast vinyl collection.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to meet restaurant owners, chefs, winemakers and brewers. A raffle boasting gift baskets, art and other Alameda retailers’ offerings will run from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m.
Proceeds from the raffle and a portion of ticket sales will benefit the West End Arts & Entertainment District (WEAED), a non-profit alliance of creators, venues and people with a shared goal of promoting the performing and visual arts in Alameda.
Tickets cost $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Puchase tickets online now at eventbrite.com.
