American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Alameda is hosting two fundraisers in one this Saturday, April 2, at the Eagles Hall, 2305 Alameda Ave. The community is invited to enjoy dinner downstairs for $15 or the “Relay around the World Fun-raiser” upstairs for $10 ($5 for those who enjoyed dinner downstairs).  

Dinner, a choice of New York steak, salmon or chicken, will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended and can be made by emailing strauss.mj@gmail.com or by calling 521-3264. The fun-raiser upstairs is from 7 to 10 p.m. with a no-host bar. Raffle and silent auction with great prizes donated by local businesses. Live music will be provided by Alameda’s own Afterglow from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

These events will raise funds for the Relay for Life of Alameda, a 24-hour family-friendly community campout taking place June 25 to 26 at Encinal High School track. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. To learn more, visit www.relayforlife.org/alamedaca.
