Students Learn Tools for Healthy Relationships

Members of the School-Based Health Center’s (SBHC) Youth Advisory Boards at Alameda high School (AHS) and Encinal High School (EHS) held Healthy Relationships fairs at their schools earlier this month.

EHS’ fair took place on March 2, while AHS’ fair took place on March 4.

The fair was designed to inform students about the dangers of teen dating violence. Students took part in trivia games and were given informational tools on consent and teen dating.

The events were produced by Alameda Family Services’ SBHC. The SBHC provides a convenient and youth-friendly place for students to receive health care services. Medical Services at SBHC include sports physicals and immunizations, but also includes sensitive services such as STI testing and treatments, pregnancy testing, birth control and more.
