Stamp Bourse on Course

Stamp Bourse on Course
The Alameda Stamp Club (ASC), have practiced stamp collecting, or more formerly, philately, in the Island City since 1947. The club recently announced they’ll be holding a “Bourse” to present some of the members’ collections on Saturday, May 20.
In Paris, the stock exchange is known as The Bourse, and a bourse in general is a trade or exchange, in this case, between many of the stamp clubs of the Bay Area. The event will aid each club to help pay their expenses.
Visit the bourse to enjoy exhibits, a free raffle and free stamp packets for children. It will be a great time for stamp collectors to gather and socialize after a long time of not being able to do so.
Shown above, stamps on display will include: mint or unused, used worldwide, topicals, postal history of the United States and more. Philately is a great hobby for many people. Some collect worldwide, topicals (birds, minerals etc.) postal history, and some exhibit their collections.
ASC meets on the third Tuesday of the month at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. Each of member collects something different from the other members. See more info at www.alamedastampclub.com.
