September Charm winner Jackie Suh points to her right eye in which she recently had a cataract removed. The procedure made a difference in her golf game, as Suh reported being able to "actually see the ball." She won the charm with a low net 66 and also low putts with 27. (She is scheduled to have the other eye done in a few weeks.)

Oakland Raider Hall-of-Fame player Willie Brown made a surprise appearance at the Alameda-based Pop Warner football team the Alameda Wolverines’ football practice last Tuesday, Aug. 26. Brown, along with representatives of the Oakland Raiders, traveled to the Wolverines’ practice at College of Alameda and invited them to watch the Raiders’ final preseason game last Thursday, Aug. 28, against the Seattle Seahawks at O.co Coliseum.
