Shop, Save, Support
Alamedans can take advantage of an opportunity to give back to Alameda youth by shopping at a local retailer this month. Through Sunday, Feb. 24, while shopping at Ross Dress for Less, 2130 South Shore Center, customers can make a monetary contribution at checkout to be donated to the Alameda Boys & Girls Club.
Every year nearly 4 million young people are served by Boys & Girls Clubs. To celebrate these extraordinary efforts, Ross Stores, Inc. partners with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Proceeds raised at the store will benefit the Alameda Boys & Girls Club. Last year, $3.5 million went to Boys & Girls Clubs around the nation.
At the Alameda club, every $3 donation helps provide one hour of Power Hour homework help for a club youth; $15 helps keep a kid safe after school. Of course, donors may give straight to the club at alamedabgc.org.
