Alameda schools began a reopening process this week. Above, students at Paden Elementary School follow new protocols before school started Monday. Students were divided into two cohorts: roomers and zoomers. One group attends virtually while the other group attends in classroom. The groups will then alternate so that exposure to potential disease is limited while in-person learning increases. “We feel good about it,” said Paden parent Craig Williams. “The effort was well coordinated ... it took lots of logistics.”
