Each year Rotary Club of Alameda confers scholarships to outstanding students attending high schools in Alameda: Alameda High, Encinal High, Island High, St. Joseph Notre Dame High, Alameda Science & Technology Institute, Alameda Community Learning Center and NEA Community Learning Center. Letters and applications were sent to counselors and principals at all high schools mid-March.  

Club members then selected scholarship winners based on: academic achievement, community service involvement, extra-curricular activities participation, financial need and quality of interview. The club distributed $20,000 in scholarships this year and recipients receive their grants once proof of enrollment and matriculation are submitted.
