Results from the Recent Alameda Running Festival

The Alameda Running Festival held on Sept. 16 at Alameda Point featured a half marathon, a 10k, 5k and a half relay. Here are the best times from each event:

HALF MARATHON
Among men, Chris Thoburn, 29, of Oakland, finished first in 01:10:38; Arturo Fernandez, 33, of Oakland, finished second in 01:15:46 and Douglas Sigelbaum, 25, of San Francisco, finished third in 01:16:18.

Among women, Liza Reichert, 30, of Los Altos, finished first in 01:21:41; Karen Eckberg, 33, of Alameda, finished second in 01:22:05 and Katie Freed, 35 of Alameda, finished third in 01:27:30.

10K
Among men, first place went to Anthony Cortes, 24, of Half Moon Bay, who finished in 34:17; Pill O., 26, of Oakland, finished second in 36:18 and Kirby Cool, 26, of Oakland came in third with a time of 36:23.

Among women, Amelia Stoj 38, of Emeryville had the best time of 42:13; Christa Cusimano, 34, of Alameda, came in second with 42:48 and Shannon Baack, 18, of Piedmont, finished third with a time of 43:49.

5K

Among men, Floyd Long, 42, of Alameda, finished first with a time of 23:20; Carl Combs, 53, of Cheney, Wash., finished second with 27:06 and David Hofmayer, 32, of San Francisco finished third in 27:07.

Among women, Lauren Miller, 31, of Oakland finished first in 27:15; Jennifer Shanoski, 41, of Berkeley, finished second in 27:44 and Mindy Pham came in third with a time of 27:45.

HALF RELAY
The top three teams in the half relay were: Dashing Divas of Brentwood in first with a time of 01:38:41; in second came #QuitWhileYou’reBehind of Albany with a time of 01:44:53 and the Mountain Alumni of Alameda finished third with a time of 01:52:57.
