Registration for Flag Football League Open

 

Registration for the East Bay Flag Football Alameda Conference fall season is now open to Alameda residents. The league offers three co-ed divisions: seven- to eight-year-olds, nine- to 10-year-olds and 11- to 12-year-olds. Players will play in the age group based on their age as of Aug. 1. Teams play in games of five-on-five. 

Games will be played on Saturdays between Sept. 8 and Nov. 10. Players may enter individually or as an entire team. Kids who want to play together are encouraged to enter as a team and train for the NFL Flag Regional Tournament. After the regular season there will be a playoff for the league champion. 

All games and practices will take place at Rittler Park at the intersection of Grand Street and Otis Drive. For the seven-to-eight division, practice is at noon and the game is at 1 p.m. For the nine-to-10 division, practice is at 1 p.m. and the game is at 2 p.m. For the 11-to-12 division practice is at 2 p.m. and the game is at 3 p.m.

The league is sponsored by the National Football League and USA Football. NFL Flag football is played in more than 1,000 leagues in the U.S.
