It’s time for Haunt Your House again. This year the event will be streamlined by focusing on fundraising for the Alameda Food Bank (AFB). Consequently, there will be no contest element. Here’s how it will work:

1. Register your house, yard, porch, business, car, window, etc., to be included on the tour map by emailing by deadline, Oct. 25, by noon.

2. Post the QR code sign you are given.

3. Encourage friends and family to either purchase the map online for $5 or pick one up in person at The Haunted Woods of Wicklow, 918 Central Ave., for free starting on Oct. 28.

4. Encourage visitors to donate to the Alameda Food Bank by scanning the code on the sign posted outside your haunt.

5. Sit back and enjoy Halloween weekend.

All proceeds from scanning the QR code go directly to AFB. All proceeds from map sales go from FunAmeda Productions to the AFB. We encourage you to have your haunt up and running as soon as possible, but especially on Saturday, Oct. 30 night, as well as Sunday, Oct. 31 (Halloween night).

FunAmeda Productions will also be selling handmade monster soaps, Riff Raff Raffle tickets (for fun prizes) and making custom BooKays the month of October at The Haunted Woods of Wicklow with a portion of all sales going to AFB.
