Pride Day at City Hall

Pride Day at City Hall

The City of Alameda and community members held a celebration of LGBTQIA+ Pride Wednesday, June 26, on the steps of City Hall. Mayor Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft proclaimed June 2019 LGBTQ Pride Month in the City of Alameda recognizing “the contributions of Alamedans who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and/or questioning to the arts, local businesses, schools, government, community organizations and religious institutions. The City affirms the dignity, value and right to equal treatment of all community members.” Local dessert hotspot Cookiebar served “Pride” ice cream at the event.
