The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced today that it will close the Posey Tube in mid-January for cleaning and other maintenance.

The Posey Tube, leaving Alameda, will be closed as follows:

• Monday, Jan. 11, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning,
• Tuesday, Jan. 12, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, and
• Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
