Point Homes Burn

Just before 5 p.m. April 7, the Alameda Fire Department responded to a structure fire in a six-unit apartment building in the 2500 block of Pensacola Road. The buildings are a part of Alameda Point Collaborative (APC). Upon arrival fire crews found heavy fire in two adjacent units. ⁣

⁣A second alarm was requested which brought Oakland Fire Department to stage at the scene.  Oakland Fire also provided fire station coverage to the City of Alameda during the incident. ⁣
⁣The fire was contained to two units, with three other units damaged. Five families have been displaced, and are working with the American Red Cross. ⁣

⁣The Oakland Fire Department, Alameda Police Department, Alameda Municipal Power, Alameda Building Department, Pacfic Gas & Electric, and the American Red Cross were all called to the scene to provide assistance. ⁣
