Peeps Diorama Contest Entries Due by April 16
The Annual Alameda Library Peeps Diorama contest is back! For this annual contest, participants design and construct a diorama featuring Peeps marshmallows as the characters. Dioramas should be the size of a shoebox and can be based on any family-friendly book, movie, television show, or other theme.
Use recycled materials, magazines, paint, pipe cleaners, and other craft supplies to create your Peeps-terpiece! There should be at least one Peep in each diorama. Teamwork is welcomed and an entire family can participate on one diorama.
Contestants can pick up a free Peeps Diorama Kit with craft supplies that will help you design a peep-tastic diorama at the Alameda Main Library reference desk on the second floor on April 6. Supplies are limited but you can enter the contest using your own supplies as well. Peeps in the Kit are not edible!
Drop off your Peeps Diorama at the Main Library or submit a photo of your Peeps Diorama to refdesk@alamedaca.gov by Sunday, April 16, (make sure to include the title of your diorama and your first name).
The voting period will take place Sunday, April 19, through Saturday, April 25, (voting for the Peeple’s Choice Award will take place on the library’s website). The Peeple’s Choice Award Winner will be announced Tuesday, April 28.
